Metrash is Qatar’s official Ministry of Interior (MOI) mobile application. Citizens and residents can use it for eligible government services, including residency, traffic and visa-related transactions. The newer Metrash app replaced the former Metrash2 application, so older screenshots and activation instructions may no longer match what appears on your phone.
Download the official Metrash app
Open Google Play or Apple’s App Store, search for Metrash and check that the publisher is Qatar’s Ministry of Interior. Install the official application and follow the prompts displayed on your device. Avoid unofficial APK downloads and third-party activation services.
What you need before registration
Keep your Qatar ID (QID), its details and your registered mobile phone available. You may need to verify your identity using a code or another method specified by the application. The information required can depend on whether you are a new user or are activating access on another device.
How to activate Metrash
- Open the official Metrash app.
- Choose the registration or activation option displayed.
- Enter your QID details and any other required information.
- Complete the verification steps shown in the application.
- Set up your account access and sign in.
Follow the current on-screen instructions rather than an old Metrash2 SMS sequence. Never share an activation code, password or verification information with anyone.

Depending on account eligibility, Metrash provides access to documents, residency and visa services, vehicle and traffic information, and selected reporting options. Availability can differ by service and user category.
